It’s time for our monthly update with the Canada Service Corps project! February was a productive month as we near the end of the first stage in this Federal project. We are gearing up for the second leg of this initiative and are looking forward to sharing what we have coming up this spring! One of our original team members for the CSC project, has decided to expand their horizons and move into their next steps; Kathryn will be greatly missed by our team and her contributions were immeasurable. We want to take a moment and welcome Scarlett to the role of Youth Liaison with our Federal youth initiative.
Our Arviat, NU resource booklet, Nuna, has been translated into Inuktitut and we are eagerly awaiting the final steps of proofing and move toward printing in the next few weeks. Welcome To Canada, the game we created with our friends in Winnipeg, MB is in the final stages and it’s looking awesome! The motivational poster series has been proofed and will be sent to the printers soon. Everything is looking great!!!
Coming up, we will be launching the application for our on-line cohort. This means that youth from all over Canada can apply to take part in being a mental health changemaker in their community! Stay tuned for the poster and link to the application! We would LOVE for you to join our online team.
As always stay tuned for more exciting updates; the new year sees us making more trips and working with more youth across Canada!! Keep your eyes posted for an opportunity to be involved with this project as we launch the online component.
