December tends to be a busy time for people between different holidays happening and gearing up for a new year. We definitely made the most out of our time in the office as we head toward the final months of this phase of our projects!
We were lucky to attend a wrap up celebration with our Windsor team this month, and showed off Border Town, How’s it Growing, and Be Safe (our free crisis support app) at Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare and Maryvale Treatment Centre! We spoke with several teachers and many students about what we have been doing, and they loved it! Make sure you check out the tools yourself! If you haven’t taken the self care quiz yet, you must! It is available in English, French and Arabic languages. As always, we love partnering with our Windsor friends, and even have a couple of the youth who are wanting to join our on-line cohort starting in the spring!
Our Arviat resource booklet, Nuna, is almost complete. We cannot wait to share this wonderful Inuit self care book with Arviat and other communities in Nunavut. Another tool that is getting ready for edits is the Winnipeg, MB game that was co-created during our Design Lab weekend there. In addition to the game, a motivational poster series will be coming together next month, so make sure you check back in the new year.
As always stay tuned for more exciting updates; the new year sees us making more trips and working with more youth across Canada!! Keep your eyes posted for an opportunity to be involved with this project as we will be creating an on-line component.
