We can’t believe the summer is finally winding down, it has been a whirlwind at the mindyourmind office! We’re currently finishing up with our Windsor group, and are looking forward to putting the final touches on their mental health workbook, Border Town, and planning their launch event. If you haven’t yet, check out the quiz, (How’s It Growing) which is now also available in French and Arabic too! Our Windsor partners and their local community has been very supportive of us throughout the process, our project has even been featured in the local paper. Stay tuned for exciting details to come!
For our Arviat, NU project, we are currently incorporating the Inuktitut cultural pieces into the self-care book. The book will be multilingual, highlighting the people in this community and their customs and traditions. We are so proud of the content and care that is being put into this resource-you won’t be disappointed!
In other big news, we will be travelling to Winnipeg in October for our final design studio. We will be working with newcomer youth through the YMCA and cannot wait to see what we co-create with them! We look forward to updating you upon our return. In the meantime, check out some firsthand accounts of what it’s like to participate in Canada Service Corps opportunities:
