The new year arrived with fresh intentions and excitement to put the final pieces together on all of our original projects! We can’t believe that we are in the final three months of the initial pilot project of the Youth Services Initiative. We are so pleased that the good work the national partners are doing across Canada will continue into the next year. It has been such an amazing experience

September has come and gone and it’s time for our monthly update. To start, I wanted to reflect on our progress. As of October 1st we have:

  • Engaged 47 youth in 3 provinces and 1 territory 
  • Encouraged and supported the youth in gaining 803 hours of volunteer service
  • Supported youth in securing $6500 of funding through the #RisingYouth grant
  • Co-created 7 community-specific resources to support

This month we want to feature our most recent partner, the Mental Health Outreach workers through the Nunavut Department of Health.
